Why 72 Cookies?

“Let me explain, no, there is too much, let me sum up”

I grew up in San Pedro. Most of that time was spent at Jacaranda Gourmet Shop, our family’s shop. At this shop, I made cookies, a lot of cookies. The base recipe for these cookies uses just one egg and every time, yes every time, I get 72 cookies in a batch. 6 dozen beautiful cookies. Three shiny cookie sheets with 24 delicious balls that form toasty, round, crumbly discs that are 72 yummy cookies.

One egg = 72 cookies.

That’s it.

I use full fat, full sugar, full gluten because that’s how a proper cookie is made.
